There are a number of Twitter apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Some are better than others. Here are 3 great Twitter apps to keep you tweeting on the go.
1. Tweetosaurus
Tweetosaurus is a full Twitter client for the iPhone that is very easy to use. It handles multiple Twitter accounts, images, web links, and lets you tweet photos from your camera quickly. Tweetosaurus also lets you reteet, forward via email, follow/unfollow people, send/receive direct messages, save tweets for later, search twitter, plus many more features. It is very secure compared to many Twitter apps because it uses the new “oAuth” security from Twitter. It’s on sale for 99 cents. Get Tweetosaurus here.
Tweet Fast is made for sending out tweets quickly. Plug in your username and password (it will remember them) and simply tweet away. Tweet Fast will show your last successful tweet (from Tweet Fast) and will let you know when Twitter is not working. It has landscape and portrait mode to make typing easier, plus background designs that you can change on the fly. If you interrupt Tweet Fast or take a phone call, it remembers any pending tweets you were working on. If you want to send out tweets quickly, Tweet Fast is definitely the app for you. It costs 99 cents. Get Tweet Fast for Twitter here.
2. Tweetie 2
Tweetie 2 is a full Twitter client for the iPhone. It provides a good full-featured Twitter experience. If you want to view twitter feeds from others and basically work your twitter account to the max, its a great app. It can retweet, reply, display avatar images, pictures, and links. It has a clean interface that is easy to learn. It costs $2.99. Get Tweetie 2 here.
Overall, the best Twitter strategy is to have both Tweet Fast and a larger Twitter app like Tweetosaurus or Tweetie 2. That way, you can pop off tweets at will to update your followers and when you have more time, you can indulge in the full Twitter experience on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
